Yes, the result is out.......Akinwunmi Ambode (born June 14, 1963) an accountant, an administrator and a public finance management expert. He was formerly the Accountant-General of Lagos State, Nigeria, and held many sensitive financial positions in the Lagos State government in a 27-year career in the Lagos State Civil Service.
The man widely believed to have been anointed by Bola Tinubu, a former Lagos governor and a national leader of the All Progressives Congress [APC], has defeated his 12 challengers for the APC governorship ticket in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, by a landslide.
About 5,700 delegates from 20 local government areas cast their votes for the 13 candidates who sought the ticket of the party.
Mr. Akinwunmi polled 3,735 votes to emerge the party’s flag bearer at next year’s general election but this didn't go down well with other aspirants as no fewer that nine aspirants left the venue of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos Governorship primaries in the middle of the exercise, apparently, dissatisfied with its conduct.
It was gathered from a reliable source that the eleven governorship aspirants are set to take the party to court over allegation that the primaries was marred by irregularities.
Court?? This is too early to start fighting oh.
