PRES. JONATHAN MUST GO ......SAYS REV. FATHER MBAKA

It was gathered that famous Catholic priest,  Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, has asked President Goodluck Jonathan to resign from office for failing in his duties to the Nigerian people. The Enugu-based fiery preacher issued this call during a packed gathering where he was deivering his annual New Year message to his congregation. Fr. Mbaka, who serves as Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry in Enugu took time to explain to his audience the reasons Nigeria urgently needs change.
This is weird as it was reported that some months ago the Rev. father welcomed the president's wife in Enugu where he praised the president for “doing well”, defending him for not rescuing the abducted Chibok girls, a recording of the Church’s session shows.
At the November 2014 session of his Enugu parish, Father Mbaka told the visiting wife of the president, Patience Jonathan, that her husband had “done well”, and deserved a second term.
He said Mr. Jonathan could have done more if not for “distractions”, apparently referring to the security challenges the administration has grappled with for years. Though it was gathered that the reverend after receiving her said something wasn't right
It is not clear why the priest reversed his earlier position just within weeks. Mr. Mbaka’s blunt remarks on December 31 night appears a pointer to the uncertainties that may emerge as the nation moves towards February elections, which promises to be the nation’s most closely contested since 1999..The reverend in the past was known to have attacked Governor Rochas Okorocha.
But do you think our Religious leaders should be involved in politics???
Lets know what you think .....remember the elections are drawing near!

  1. here we go again.. preachers should understand that...God will not give his word to heat up the polity.. in my opinion.. he may have spoken as a Mr ubaka not as Fr ubaka ... religious leaders should not be taking sides in politics... Mr bakare spoke (not pastor bakare) something about obj some times ago when the later was still in power... let not drag the name of the lord into politics... In America before Obama won the elections a lot of comments were made.. some are..conservative activist Ted Sampley, co-founder of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, posted a column suggesting Obama was a secret Muslim, heavily quoting Martin's original press release. Shortly afterward, many chain e-mails began circulating claiming that Obama was a hypothetical "Manchurian Candidate."[In February 2008, a photo of Obama dressed in a turban and other local clothing while on a 2006 visit to an ethnic Somali community in Kenya appeared on the Drudge Report, which attributed it to a Clinton staffer upset at Obama getting more favorable coverage in the media than Clinton. The photo was interpreted as suggesting Muslim garb, and the Obama campaign accused the Clinton campaign of “shameful, offensive fear-mongering..
Bakare asked Obasanjo to forget the 2003 re-election and predicted that a messiah would come from Adamawa State . He reiterated his old prediction that Obasanjo was not the messiah.. .Bakare said, “Let me tell you the truth by the spirit of God, neither (President Olusegun Obasanjo), OBJ, Atiku (Abubakar), IBB and this tall one, (Muhammadu) Buhari are part of the new. They are part of the old that is decaying. That old one is passing away. The new is emerging and these ones are not part of that new.’ “ (emphasis mine)

After convincing the rest of us that this is what God has revealed to him he still went ahead and ran on the same ticket with the divinely rejected Mohamadu Buhari on the platform of CPC. For some of us who cherish reasonability, logical explanation of actions and integrity of the supposed “men of God,” Pastor Bakare’s action, to say the least, was and is still confounding. If his revelation was authentic and correct, then he has not only engaged in a perfidious act against God, he has clearly disobeyed God. please let the religious leader stop using God's name to ...
