Ronaldo popularly known as CR7 is known around the world for his huge talent.
And in his childhood home of Madeira, Cristiano Ronaldo will now be remembered forever thanks to this bizarrely-proportioned statue newly erected in his honour.
The star footballer, 29, returned to the Portuguese island yesterday to pose in front of the bronze effigy with his family by his side.
The large replica of the Real Madrid maestro shows him in his famous free-kick pose and large crowds gathered yesterday to applaud its unveiling.
But the sculpture has since raised a few eyebrows - with many claiming the artist has been somewhat 'generous' to the footballer in the shorts department. A lot of the locals were not overtly impressed with the starure since at first glance, it does not look like the footballer.
Hehehehe....how is the sculptor suppose to know the exact size of his *****.
But the stature does not look like him oh!!! Abi na my eyes????
Congratulations to him!!!!!!!!!!! He is really a pride to his hometown Madeira. Such a talent!!!!!!!
the statue is to immortalize his name... if that is the reason behind it vey good good and highly commendable... but .... whether it is truely CR7 as shown... i have my reservations... the size of the.. directly underneath the the perpendicular arch is highly contestable... the akpo bi that the statue carries is original raise to power x5,,, facial positioning is also questionable... however, congratulation to our dear CR7... may your days be long...may all the okpekes see you and stumble... but may you never be fit enough in any match you will play against Chelseafc... ... oba gha to kpere ise
