It was reported yesterday that 158 victims abducted by the Islamist sect Boko Haram insurgents have been released . The 158 women and children were from Katarko Village in Yobe State and were released after three weeks of captivity. The families have since been re-united with their families in Damaturu, the state capital.
The state Commisioner for Justice and Chairman of the State committee on Rehabilitation of Victims of Insurgency , Alhaji Ahmed Goniri, addressed newsmen in Damaturu yesterday , he also said that the victims were screened by security operatives to authenticate their status while government provided them with psychological therapy to ease their trauma. The Yobe state government has provided N50,000, two bags of rice, sugar, noodles and wrapper to each of the 15 widows among the victims, while 47 other women received N30,000 each and same quantity of rice, sugar, noodles and wrapper.
This is such good news......Good one...more should be done. We still need our Chibok girls back home.
Boko is in the verge of total collapse, they can no longer feed their captives... the villages they use to steal foods from had been recaptured from them...I understand that.. the place where boko keep the herds of cattle they stole is also under heavy bombardment by the Nigerian military warplanes...even by the words of the dare devil boko leader (shakau), "my fighters will keep fighting even after we (he and his cohorts) are dead"... obviously, he already have the premonition of his imminent doom... why did boko now decides to release their captives...the tides had been turned against them...we will soon see his end and the end of all our enemies in Jesus name ..amen..lol goodluck to all Nigeria
