The director-general of NAFDAC, Dr Paul Orhii, disclosed this yesterday during a joint press conference with the director-general of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Prof Abulsalami Nasidi, in Abuja, saying that the agency is saddened by the fatality rate related to the incident.“People should stop consuming ogogoro, unless they want to embark on a suide mission. The symptoms suffered by the victims of methanol-poisoned gin include vomiting, abdominal pain, blurred vision, headache, dizziness and loss of consciousness,”Orhi said.
Hmmm,,,,,please stop taking ogoro..sapele water, shepe ..all those loacly brewed drinks. Lets be careful with what we consume. stay safe always.
Another brain washing done start...local gin kills when the same local gin is taken abroad and comes back colored.. its name change to whiskey, Brandy. Chelsea dry gin.. bra bra bra.. why don't we just really appreciate what we have.. instead of coming out with a policy to encourage a better distillation method... they want its dead... people consume industrial (graded) sugar instead of the recommended domestic cubed sugar... we don't care so long its imported... anything local is bad... we want to create employment... youths are unemployed... no illegal (refineries) we are deceiving our selves talking about technology transfer...if they transfer their technology to you which one will they you to exploit you/ how will their economy grow, how will they rule you ..meanwhile, the imported foreign ones are not working... when do we break out of this neon-colonialism status for crying out loud...this local gin has been around in Africa since time immemorial... now its bad.. we don't believe in ourselves... Jamaica legalized marijuana they say the medicinal value in it... US had did same... ours is to always see the negative side in things how do we grow...our economy...i trust naija it will fall on deaf ears just as the ban on public smoking only provided another means of income to the law enforcement agencies... na wa oooooooo!
