It was gathered yesterday that the Vice president of Nigeria...Namadi Sambo was held hostage by some thugs in the Kano state chapter of the PDP . He was held hostage for about 20 minutes at the Bayero University Kano premises over allegations that the state party leader had abandoned them.
Shouts by chorused voices were heard to say “Bamuayi Bamuayi Bamuayi” which meant “we are no longer with you”, while others shouted mungaji da aiki banza”, meaning ‘we are tired of the job’.
An embarrassed Vice President immediately ordered the state party leaders to address the aggrieved members.
Well, if your own people turn against you...then something is definitely wrong! What are your thoughts?
These guys could have been paid to carry out the script... but this kind of hostage should not be new to a Nigerian university graduate... it is the practice that if any high dignitary visits a higher institution... the only way to make them drop is by holding them hostage... such hostages are usually for a short time...uniben students once (1994)held chief M.K.O Abiola hostage in Benin... but as soon as he announced a personal donation of 5 million Naira to the student union... the music changed immediately...and he was released instantly.. so lets not begin to read meanings to it...it is part of fun of...
