On the June 11, 2009,Cristiano Ronaldo officially joined Real Madrid for 96 million euros to become football's most expensive player of all time - and this was just the first of countless records he would make his own during his stay in the Spanish capital.
Nine years on, and the fact remains that the Portuguese is still the most expensive signing in the club's history.
Gareth Bale arrived for 91 million euros, James Rodriguez came for 75m, while Zinedine Zidane's 2001 arrival came in at 75.1m.
He has now also become the club's most expensive sale as a 33-year-old and, astonishingly, he moved on for 16m euros more than he was signed for - after nine years of phenomenal service, four Champions League crowns, two LaLiga titles and 451 goals.
What are the expectation for him....will Juventos win champions league title with him on their team? With speculations and hopes that he may be returning to Manchester united dashed.....will he perform on the same level as he did in Real Madrid with fantastic players? Is it a good move or is he retiring? Far away from the limelight? What do you think? Share your thought by leaving a comment below.
