Away from the games at the World cup, the world best footballer is on the news........Cristiano Ronaldo has made the headlines again!!! He is show stopper, a pacesetter and now he is the most expensive sale of Real Madrid Football Club

 
On the  June 11, 2009,Cristiano Ronaldo officially joined Real Madrid for 96 million euros to become football's most expensive player of all time - and this was just the first of countless records he would make his own during his stay in the Spanish capital.
Nine years on, and the fact remains that the Portuguese is still the most expensive signing in the club's history.
Gareth Bale arrived for 91 million euros, James Rodriguez came for 75m, while Zinedine Zidane's 2001 arrival came in at 75.1m.
He has now also become the club's most expensive sale as a 33-year-old and, astonishingly, he moved on for 16m euros more than he was signed for - after nine years of phenomenal service, four Champions League crowns, two LaLiga titles and 451 goals.

JOKE OF THE DAY!

I watched last week the 3rd group stage of the World Cup game between Belgium and Japan with my mechanic. Here is what he told me after the thrilling encounter ;
" Oga, shebi i been tell you say Tokunbor (Belgium) always dey better pass Original (Japan)! You don see am na...."

RUSSIA 2018-----A DIFFERENT WORLD CUP!!!

This ongoing world cup is unexpected, different and so unbelievable!!! There have been major upsets.... The rounds of 16 started of this week with the big teams being butted out.
The famous footballing nations gave a disappointing outing which saw them beaten by their lowly counterparts. 
ARGENTINA was beaten by the Les blues of FRANCE in a game that could be termed as the final of finals. It was a trilling game with goals from the brillant Kylian Mbappie, Griezman for france.
The Messi led Argentina gave a good fight but could not stand the speed and brilliant play from the Frenchmen.
Christino Rolando's PORTUGAL was beaten by a Suarez led URUGUAY team. This leaves the world up without the best players of this generation Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo. 
SPAIN carelessly lost a game they could have won to the host country RUSSIA in what was a boring, lackluster play of football. The Spanish side was punished by the Russians in a penalty shoot out.  
The other game of that day saw CROATIA beat DENMARK in what was a show of goalkeepers in the Penalty Shoot out. The game was exciting as Kasper Schemicheal was brilliant but Croatia won.       
BRAZIL was dominant over MEXICO as they beat the Chicharito's led MEXICO side 2: 0 with Neymar being the hero of the game. 

Then in what was termed the almost heartbreaking game was BELGIUM versus JAPAN , in which Japan scored the first two goals before Belgium scored...this was going to be the upset of the century....but the Eden Hazard led Belgians were relentless and saw the Japanese
 sent home with a 3:2 scoreline.
Today, we will be seeing the Three Lions of ENGLAND up against a Falcao COLUMBIA in what promises to be a must watch match .Also the game between SWEDEN and SWITZERLAND.
